Good stopping points include Mesquite, Nevada, which has several casinos with clean restrooms and food options, or St. George, Utah, a larger city with numerous restaurants and fuel stations. St. George is a great place to stretch and grab lunch before the final, more scenic 45‑minute drive to the park.

A day trip to Death Valley is a long but rewarding adventure. The best route is I‑15 North to US‑95 North, then follow signs to the park via state routes.
