At Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) in Oklahoma City, hire counters are housed in a Consolidated Car Rental facility off the main terminal — a complimentary shuttle runs around the clock with a typical wait of 6 to 8 minutes and a 3 to 4 minute ride to the facility. At Tulsa International Airport (TUL), counters sit directly across from baggage claim, and vehicles are in the adjacent parking garage, so no shuttle is needed. Oklahoma operates one of the more extensive turnpike networks in the central US, and every road is now fully cashless — no toll booths accept cash. Hire companies enrol vehicles automatically in a toll pass programme (often called TollPass or PlatePass) the moment you use a turnpike, charging a daily convenience fee of roughly US$5 to US$7 plus tolls billed at the highest undiscounted rate. Note that E-ZPass and other out-of-state transponders are not accepted on Oklahoma turnpikes. Fuel averages around US$3.44 per gallon statewide. A credit card in the primary driver's name is required at pickup, with an authorisation hold of at least US$200 placed on that card.
